We finally got 2 days of 20 degrees in a row. It is May 6th and Spring has finally arrived. That means Jaidan and I are walking around in t-shirts and shorts. We have yet to break out the sandals but that will come soon. Thavorn is noticing the budding leaves on the trees and various plants. The outside swimming pool has been filled with water and the pond has been emptied and refilled. The 2 Canadian geese are still in the pond.
My programming is progressing well so all things are good.
On the immigration front, we should be receiving OHIP cards for Jaidan and Thavorn this month. We are still awaiting news on the Canada Child Benefit for Jaidan but apparently that takes 11 weeks. Go figure. I don't remember Thavorn receiving her SIN card so I will have to look into that.
Jaidan keeps asking when he will see Tai and Dun (Thai siblings again) and when he will get his birthday cake (July 31st). He has yet to come to grips with the concept of a month.
Dare I say, we will soon be in the dog days of summer :-)
Time to book our return flights to Thailand. It looks like $440 one way for a seat in early September from Vancouver. We already have our Aeroplan return leg to Vancouver so we will plan on a 2 day rest in Vancouver. This time, I hope we will get good weather in Vancouver.
John and Fon will arrive on June 14th so Thavorn is looking froward to sharing her Canadian experiences with Fon in Thai.
